About this archive
The NC Insurance Rate Tracker is a free public record of every North Carolina personal-lines rate filing — homeowners, dwelling, private passenger auto, and mobile home — since 1993, with each figure linked to the document it came from.
Why it exists
North Carolina publishes rate filings, settlements, and orders. They are public, and they are also spread across circulars, exhibits, and press releases that assume you already know how the system works. A homeowner opening a renewal notice cannot easily find out what the state actually approved for their county, or when.
This site puts that record in one place and answers the question in front of it: what was asked, what was approved, when it took effect, and where the document is. It draws no conclusions about anyone's individual policy.
